Rainy Mood and Jazz by Tripacer

Welcome to my little tent on the internet. I'm a software engineer who enjoys building things, exploring nature, taking random landscape photographs, and occasionally falling down technical rabbit holes. Outside the terminal, I enjoy reading, working out, and drinking probably more coffee than I should.

I'm a full-stack software engineer building and contributing to software across fintech, blockchain infrastructure, developer tools, and beyond. I primarily work with TypeScript and Rust, contribute to open source, and maintain a few projects of my own (even when the GitHub stars are taking their sweet time).

I'm particularly fascinated by systems programming, distributed systems, Linux, and understanding how things work under the hood. My curiosity has led me to experiment with everything from self-hosted servers and blockchain nodes to low-level programming. I was also a Solana Summer Fellow '24.

What I'm Working On

Lately, I've been focused on writing, researching, and shipping software, particularly around developer infrastructure, financial systems, and open source.

I'm currently building Plumba, an open-source platform for self-hosting and managing blockchain nodes across multiple networks, and OurPocket, a developer-first financial infrastructure platform that unifies wallet providers through a consistent API.

I've also built and contributed to a few developer tools, including:

Beyond software engineering, my research interests include distributed systems, cryptography, electric and autonomous vehicles, brain-computer interfaces, cryptocurrencies, and animal behavior. I find the intersection of software and the physical world particularly fascinating.

Open Source

I believe some of the best ways to learn engineering are by reading other people's code, breaking things, fixing them, and building in the open.

I contribute to open-source projects and maintain a few repositories of my own. You can explore my work on GitHub, and if you find any of it useful, consider sponsoring my work.

Beyond the Terminal

When I'm not debugging something that worked perfectly five minutes ago, you'll probably find me reading, working out, playing drums, exploring nature, or taking photographs of interesting landscapes.

I enjoy discovering obscure ideas, learning about different cultures, and reading things far outside my field. I've also curated a collection of interesting articles and technical resources in my reading list.

Let's Connect

I'm open to software engineering opportunities, open-source collaborations, and interesting technical challenges, especially those involving infrastructure, developer tools, and systems engineering.

You can find me on GitHub or reach out on X (@obiabo_immanuel). Always happy to talk about software, interesting ideas, or something entirely unrelated.
